Knowledge Professional / NSR PROCESSES-FORMS & FEE

A professional can create his/her profile on National Skills Registry (NSR) system by entering Personal, Qualification and Employment details on NSR website. The registration process is completed by submitting Proof of Photo Identity and finger-prints along-with completed Web Registration Acknowledgement form to a Point of Service (POS) appointed by NSR. On submission of this information along-with fees, NSR system creates a life-time permanent profile. A registered professional can

  • Modify and Update profile
  • Order Empanelled Background check (EBC) for his profile and view the results
  • Authorise the companies to view profile
  • Check the status of joining and relieving confirmations by the employer companies

Registered professionals also receive a National Skills Registry (NSR) eCard with NSR Registration Number i.e. ITPIN, Name and Photograph mentioned on the card as a reference.

Total fee payable at the time of registration includes Registration fee of Rs. 300, Annual Usage Fee of Rs. 100 for the year of registration and applicable taxes. This fee can be paid online using Credit card / Citibank account or can be paid to the POS in Cash / Demand Draft while submitting the finger-prints.


Registered professionals are required to pay an annual usage fee of Rs. 100 plus applicable Taxes. each year for maintenance of their profile on NSR system. First year usage fee i.e. fee for the year of registration is covered in the registration fee collected while processing the registration.

NSR system sends email alerts to each professional informing him/her when the fee becomes due.

This fee can be paid by accessing the profile on NSR and selecting the option Request for >> Renewal Registration. Fee can be paid online using Credit card / Citibank account or can be paid to the POS in Cash / Demand Draft along-with Annual Usage Fee form.


NSR issues an eCard to all registered Knowledge Professionals which has details of the registered professional i.e. NSR Registration Number (ITPIN), Name and Photograph. This is sent to the email address specified by the professional while registering on NSR. In case the professional is interested in obtaining a physical card, he/she can request for a new card without any change in details. This can be done by the Knowledge Professional by accessing its profile and selecting "Request for >> Generate physical card" option. Upon receipt of such request a NSR card will be printed and sent to the address requested by the registered professional.

Applicable Fee: Rs. 100 plus applicable taxes

This fee can be paid online using Credit card / Citibank account or can be paid to the POS in Cash / Demand Draft along-with the Duplicate Card request form.


If there is change required on any of your National Skills Registry (NSR) card attributes i.e. Name etc., the changes can be requested by visiting a Point of Service (POS) set-up. Knowledge Professional will need to submit following to the POS

  • On-Card info Change Request Form Click for downloading the form
  • Printout of the existing NSR eCard
  • Proof of Change in Name (If applicable, it could be same as Proof of Photo Identity)
  • Proof of Photo Identity [Employee ID Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Bank Pass-book with photo, Passport, Voter ID Card, College ID card (not more than one year old)]
  • Finger-prints during personal visit

POS upon verifying the above details will upload the request to NSR Central system. Finger-prints submitted for this request will be compared by the NSR Central System with the finger-prints available for such Knowledge Professional. If finger-prints match Knowledge Professional's name and / or photograph will be updated in its profile and a new ecard will be sent to the email id registered with NSR.

Applicable Fee: Rs. 200 plus applicable taxes

This Fee can be paid to the POS in Cash / Demand Draft.


  • Accessing your profile on NSR
  • Updation of your profile
  • Authorising Subscriber Companies to view the profile
  • Setting up background verification request. However, charges for background verification will be payable to empanelled background checking agency, for details visit to : background-verification.htm

If there is change required on any of your National Skills Registry (NSR) registration attributes i.e. Gender, Motherís Maiden name, DOB etc., the changes can be requested by visiting a Point of Service (POS) set-up. Knowledge Professional will need to visit personally and submit following to the POS:


  • Data Value Change Form Click for downloading the form
  • Proof of Photo Identity [Employee ID Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Bank Pass-book with photo, Passport, Voter ID Card, College ID card (not more than one year old)]
  • Finger-prints
  • POS upon verifying the above details will upload the request to NSR Central system. Finger-prints submitted for this request will be compared by the NSR Central System with the finger-prints available for such Knowledge Professional. If finger-prints match, requested change will be carried out.

    Applicable Fee: Rs. 100 plus applicable taxes.

    This Fee can be paid to the POS in Cash / Demand Draft.
